Eid Mubarak

Dear Dar Al-Hijrah Community,

Assalamu Alaikum. As we approach the end of Ramadan, I would like to congratulate you on the successful completion of your fast and prayers; may Allah accept from all of us.

Since Dar al Hijrah announced the Eid prayer times without the khateebs’ names, many of you have been asking me when my khutbah will be for this Eid.  I checked with Brother Samir, who told me that I am not on the schedule because it was made before the announcement of my reinstatement by the Chairman of the board, Dr. Mohammad Helmy, at Fajr on the 26th of Ramadan.

I would have loved to address you on Eid as I have been doing for the past twelve years, but since I cannot, I wanted to wish you and your families a happy and blessed Eid.

Sincerely Yours,

Imam Shaker Elsayed
